Ten years ago, the city of Heerlen in The Netherlands, encountered a cultural revival with the arrival of the street art scene. After years of dealing with problems like homelessness and heavy drug users, the city is finally thriving again. With over 130 pieces of art (by local and international artists) spread out through the neighborhoods, the city has earned the title of ‘Street Art Capital of The Netherlands’.
